This review is for the Vegan Cuts April Beauty Box which retails for $22.95 USD per month.
What Vegan Cuts say about this subscription box:
“The easiest way to discover cruelty-free brands without committing to full-size products or prices. Each month you’ll receive a delivery of 4-7 new products to try, ranging from unique cosmetics to luxurious skincare.”
I really enjoy trying out the varied range of products I receive in the Vegan Cuts beauty box, and I love getting to try things I wouldn’t normally purchase.
The Vegan Cuts beauty box is 100% vegan and cruelty free, and each one introduces us to brands we might not have discovered otherwise. Getting a vegan beauty surprise every month is pretty exciting, too.
If you’re outside of the USA shipping can be quite expensive, however the Vegan Cuts beauty box is incredible value even with the international shipping cost.
The April Vegan Cuts beauty box contained:
Coriander Rosewood bath bomb sample, $2.50 value
I’m a sucker for coriander – cilantro – and rose, so this scent is a winner for me. This mini bath bomb would make a great foot soak or a less intense full body soak.
Organic facial repair serum, $14 value
This is called a serum, but it’s really a face oil made from only three ingredients: coconut, avocado and rosehip oils. It is quite light and absorbs quickly, leaving skin feeling super hydrated. I love using pure coconut oil on my face, but this can cause some people’s skin to break out. If you’ve never used pure coconut oil before, listen to what your skin is telling you.
Endz split end mender and preventer, $6 value
I can’t speak for whether or not this product actually repairs split ends, but it smells great and it leaves hair very soft without feeling weighed down. I have wanted to try something from the Marrakesh range for years, so this was a nice surprise. Let me know in the comments if you’ve used this product.
Facial sunscreen, $5 value
Sun care is super important, and I always like trying new sun protection products. This facial sunscreen is quite different to all the ones I have tried before. It’s thick, and beige, and requires a bit of rubbing in to get it to absorb. Once it has absorbed though the skin feels hydrated and not greasy. It has almost a sticky finish that goes away within about 5 or 10 minutes of application. I can’t say how this wears under makeup. Have you tried this facial sunscreen? I would love to hear about your experiences in the comments below!
5 free nail polish in 254, $12 value
This is a very pretty pink, and I love that it’s 5 free. I feel like all nail polish should be this as standard! I’m looking forward to seeing how this wears. Have you tried these polishes? What do you think of them? Tell me in the comments below 🙂
Bee free lip balm in sweet mint, $2.50 value
I love mint, especially sweet mint, and this lip balm is delicious. Nothing usually comes close to how I feel about Hurraw balms, but this one does! I’m not sure if it will replace my moon balm, but I’m enjoying having it on my desk.
Cream deodorant in Lucy in the Sky, $2 value
Not being a wearer of deodorant I wasn’t that excited to receive this sample, but after smelling it I actually applied it. It smells SO good. It’s lavender and patchouli and it’s making me rethink my stance on not wearing deo. It comes in a pot and is applied with fingers, which might be a downside for some people but doesn’t bother me. It’s kind of a goopy paste, and it’s easy to rub in.
If you love beauty products and you love surprises, then definitely sign up here. You won’t regret it 😀
Makeup Artist Tip:
Enjoy! Being sent items that you might not normally use can be a great way to play and potentially find new products you love, and new ways of using them. If you receive a product and you aren’t sure how to use it, just google it! We can always improve on (and simplify) our beauty routines. Be open to trying new things ❤️
