I’m a fan of this tan! The mousse applies evenly and absorbs quickly. It isn’t sticky, and it smells lovely. I also love how it fades. It doesn’t come off in patches, or look flaky, it just… fades! It doesn’t look orange, streaky or fake on my pale skin either. Read on to see how you can score yourself some Eco Tan goodies!
According to the directions, you apply the tan and leave it on for 1-4 hours and then rinse it off. The tan will continue to develop for 48 hours. This is me 48 hours after only one application. I kept the tan on for about 3 hours before I rinsed it off.
Make sure you wash your hands really well after you apply the mousse, and if you have any dry skin apply a little moisturiser to those areas first. I like to moisturise the tops of my feet, knees and elbows. Then I apply the tan, wash my hands thoroughly, moisturise them, then I put some mousse on a cotton pad and apply carefully to the backs of my hands. It sounds like a bit of a process, but it’s quick and dries almost instantly so you can get dressed and get on with your day.
I used to be a fake tan junkie, but honestly the last few years it never even occurred to me. Too many mishaps and pieces of orange clothing, not to mention the hours in the bathroom applying it “just so”. I honestly never thought tanning would be part of my routine again, but after experiencing how easy – and mess and mishap free it can be – I can honestly say that I will be using this product again (and again!).
In fact, I loved it so much I have just purchased the Invisible Tan and Face Tan Water… Let me know in the comments if you would like me to review either of those!
Makeup Artist Tip:
Don’t wear your usual foundation after tanning, it very likely won’t be the right shade! If you don’t have different foundation options then try using a few sweeps of a shimmer-less bronzer to deepen your foundation, or invest in some Cover FX or Australis drops. I’ve reviewed the Cover FX drops and I think they’re brilliant!
