This review is for Everyday Minerals Cheek (matte blush), which retail for $12USD.

What Everyday Minerals say about this blush:

“Shades that naturally complement your skin tone and never overpower your look. Bouquets of fresh flowers and ripe fruits are the inspiration behind these delicate colors, ranging from fine neutrals to sheer pinks, corals and shades of berries. Offers a matte finish and long lasting wear. Loose mineral powders diffuse easily giving a flawless application that never looks streaky.”

My Thoughts:

This was my first experience with a loose mineral blush, and it was great!

The Upside:

These blushes are soft and pretty, and they come in a sweet range of colours.

The Downside:

The shades are quite pigmented, and they oxidise slightly (meaning that the colour deepens) once applied. It’s easy to work with this though, see my tip below!

Simple Rating System

Overall: 8.5/10
Ease of application: 8/10
Strength of pigment: 9/10
Length of wear: 9/10

The Extended Review:

Everyday Minerals Cheek blushes blend beautifully over mineral, powder, liquid, and serum foundations. They also look lovely on bare skin for a healthy glow.

All Smiles

Everyday Minerals says “This hyper pigmented peachy orange blush is the best way to brighten up your face. You’ll be all smiles the moment you brush it on your cheeks! Its super saturated shade can take any look from dull to delightful. When applying, be sure to start out with a small amount of powder on your brush – this colorful blush packs a lot of punch, so a little bit goes a long way!”

All smiles is a very pigmented orange shade. It brightens up the complexion and gives skin a summery glow.

At First Blush

Everyday Minerals says “When spring draws to an end, we welcome our new summer friend. With flowers fully bloomed, and fields so lush, the sun kisses your cheeks saying, “You had me At First Blush!” This pure pink powder has slightly warm accents that will help bring out your cheeks’ natural rosiness without shimmer.”

At First Blush gives a natural pink flush and is a great everyday blush for fairer skin. It can be applied more heavily for a sweet pink colour, or for darker skin tones.

Primrose

Everyday Minerals says “Primroses are often the first signs of spring, happily sprouting through the greenery surrounding them to show off their bright pink color. Bring the fresh feeling of the fair-weathered spring and highlight your happiness – no matter what season it is – by applying this vivid coral pink color to your cheeks!”

Primrose has become my go to shade from the range. It suits a diverse range of skin tones and changes the least when applied to the skin, the colour deepening only slightly.

Makeup Artist Tip:

As mentioned above these blushes oxidise on application. You will get the best results by applying a small amount of product at a time. Shake a little of the blush into the lid, pick up up with the brush and then tap it to shake off any excess product. Touch the brush to your face where you want the most colour, sweep the brush along the cheekbone from that point, and continue until you are happy with the depth of colour.
